Description summary
- You join a team of technologists focused on system modernization, new product development, and rescuing distressed projects in regulated domains such as healthcare, financial services, government, and education.
- You lead the full software development lifecycle for robust, scalable applications using PHP and Laravel, from conceptual design through deployment and monitoring.
- You design and implement secure, compliant, cloud-ready Laravel backends and build performant, modern user interfaces with Livewire and Alpine.js.
- You collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical designs and shippable code.
- You implement best practices for security, logging, monitoring, CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- You mentor junior and mid-level engineers through rigorous code reviews and help drive technical excellence and thoughtful adoption of new technologies across the team.
- You use AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot and large language models daily, can demonstrate concrete productivity gains, and clearly explain their limitations, security implications, and strategic opportunities.
- You bring 5+ years of full-stack experience with expert-level PHP, deep Laravel expertise, strong relational database skills (for example PostgreSQL), and cloud deployment experience, preferably on AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
- You benefit from a salary range of $135,000 to $195,000 as a full-time employee, comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) with 4% employer match, and a hiring process that includes email questions, a technical interview or assignment, and a panel interview.
