Description summary

  • You lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for certificates.dev, a modern developer-first certification platform.
  • You work closely with engineers on system design, APIs, and integrations such as proctoring, identity verification, payments, and other partners.
  • You define clear technical product requirements (PRDs, user stories, API specs, acceptance criteria) and actively unblock engineers by clarifying scope, trade-offs, and edge cases.
  • You drive advanced exam capabilities like timed exams, question banks, grading logic, retakes, anti-cheat measures, and reliability under load.
  • You ship incrementally in a fast-moving early-stage environment, balancing MVP versus scale while partnering with design, marketing, and business stakeholders.
  • You analyze product data and real-world usage to improve user flows, exam performance, platform reliability, and key conversion metrics.
  • You bring 4-7+ years in technical product management, engineering, or hybrid roles, with hands-on experience in modern web stacks, ideally including Laravel, PHP, and Vue.js.
  • You are comfortable in technical discussions on scalability, security, cloud architectures, and third-party integrations, and can translate between business and engineering.
  • You work full-time in a fully remote small team, with high ownership, flexible hours, paid time off, bonuses, equipment and training budgets, and opportunities to travel and speak at events.
